Privacy Policy

Glendale & Cheviot ("we", "us") is the modern, fixed-fee estate agent for Wooler, Glendale and North Northumberland. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and your rights over it.

What we collect and why

When you request a valuation or enquire about a property, we collect the details you give us — your name, email address, phone number, property postcode and details, and (for sellers switching agents) the status of your current agency agreement. We use these solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange your valuation, and provide the service you've asked about. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Where it goes

Form submissions are stored securely on our own hosting (outside the public web space) and delivered to our own mailboxes. We do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for marketing. If you instruct us, your details will be used in providing the agency service — for example, passing your address to our photographer or listing your property with the portals — and we'll explain that at instruction.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't proceed are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the period required by law (typically six years after the end of the business relationship, for tax and anti-money-laundering purposes).

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email hello@glendaleandcheviot.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
